TALL GROUPHEADS FOR TAKEAWAY COFFEE! Please see below for video of actual machine in action!! Get your own valid XHTML YouTube embed code.
This machine is a 2010 Brasilia Cadetta 2 group. It is a top end machine packed with lots of features that only appear on the very best espresso machines. The machine has been completely stripped, deep cleaned, descaled and polished prior to being put back together. All perishable parts have been replaced for brand new regardless of original condition. Limescale is the biggest killer of all espresso machines. If a machine is left untreated it can start to become blocked up and will perform alot less efficiently. It will take a long time to heat up and recover. The coffee that the machine produces will also be poor and most importantly it can affect important safety features! All our machines are completely cleaned of any limescale. I get so many people bringing machines into me complaining that they were told by someone that it is working perfectly, only for it to start to fail within 2 months of it being run. The usual problem is generally limescale damage!
The machine also comes with a top quality water filter to install alongside the espresso machine. It is a'Brita Purity 600 Quell ST' water filter, a quick Google search will show you how good these filters are!
Please note that the filter is NOT brand new, however it has seen very little use and the catridges are readily available to swap over in a year to 18 months time. It is extremelly important that any espresso machine is fitted to a good quality water filter to help keep up the longevity of the machines inners. The machine has been completely rebuilt using all brand new seals and gaskets, regardless of original condition.Every seal, gasket, spring, O ring, group seal etc is completely brand new so will last for many years to come. The majority of these seals are in places you wouldn't even know existed so it is important they are changed because they will more than likely not be replaced until the machine is stripped down and rebuilt again. Everything on the machine is tight, running efficiently and working correctly. A great, and often overlooked, feature with this machine is it has raised group heads.
This means that the groupheads have been lifted up to allow for bigger'takeaway' cups to sit underneith them, so you can pull your shot directly into the cup for your customer. The group head will comfrotably take a 12oz cup whoch is the perfect size for takeaway. Takeaway coffee is getting bigger and bigger all the time and is definately something you should be looking at if you are planning on serving coffee. This machine is perfectly geared up ready for it!
The machine has 1 steam wand and a hot water outlet. The steam tip on the wand is a 2 hole tip which makes for very easy control over milk frothing. The 2 hole tips allow a more novice barista to foam the milk properly as it doesnt let as much steam into the jug at once.
So this makes the wand very easy to use, especially if you are new to using an espresso machine. If you would rather have a quicker 4 hole steam tip I will be able to supply one for you easily. That being said, the machine will be ideal for a complete novice or a seasoned barista. The machine has all the features of a top end espresso machine, butis still extremelly easy to use and you will get great results from it very quickly. It also has a hot water outlet which delivers boiling water direct from the machines 12 litre copper boiler.
The water is delivered directly and instantly and is perfect for making tea, hot chocolate, americano etc. As you can see the internals are in very good condition. There is absolutely nothing to hide on this machine. With good maintenance and annual servicing there is no reason why this machine will not go on to give years of good service. There are alot of machines out there which are advertised as'working when taken out of service' or'regular serviced', but please be aware of many of these machines. If I can help you in any way whatsoever please do not hesitate to get in touch, or better still come down and have a good look and play with the machine. The heating element on the machine is very strong, it heats the boiler from stone cold in about 15 minutes.
Once the boiler is upto pressure it will happily sit there all day long, even after drawing off large amounts of steam and water. It is very economical and is set up to the perfect setting of 1.1 bar pressure. This will mean the machine will run at its most efficient, it will recover very quickly and allow you to draw steam off continously. The video highlights just how good the steam wand is on this machine so make sure you take 5 minutes to watch it! The pump on the machine is working very well, it quickly ramps water pressure upto just over 9bar when extracting coffee, which is perfect for creating espresso. There is a drain tap underneith the drip tray should you wish to ever drain the water off of inroder to put the machine into storage. This is very easy to do. You will also find a manual fill valve. This should be used to initially fill the boiler from empty, the idea of this is to put some water into the boiler before activating the pump inorder to have less stress on the pump.It is not something you are going to do every day, only if you want to drain the boiler for storage/transportation or if you wish to replace the boiler water after a period of use. The dual pressure gauge is working well too. At rest with the machine off (and no water connected) both needles should be showing zero. One half of the pressure gauge is used to measure the machines boiler pressure. This should always be sitting at around about 1.1 bar.
This is the ideal boiler pressure to extract good quality espresso. The other half of the gauge measures the internal pump/brew pressure. At rest this will show your incoming mains water pressure (in my area it is about 3-4 bar) but once the machine is extracting espresso the onboard rotary pump will ramp the brew pressure up to 9bar, the perfect setting for quality espresso shots. It is also imporant that the gauges read accurately inorder to help diagnose any faults when brewing espresso, and to check that your variables are correct for good coffee. All of these have been set up ready so you will not need to adjust them, unless you want to of course, and if you do I can easily show you hot to do so.
The water level will automatically regulate itself without you having to do anything. Should this ever fail you can use a manual fill valve to fill the boiler as needed. It has been bench tested for 2 weeks to ensure it is in top working condition ready to be taken away. It really is a brilliant machine. It has all the usual features ie automatic boiler fill, group head touch pads etc.
The group heads have been completely deep cleaned, descaled and polished. Again every seal, gasket, O ring, shower screen, filter, jet etc etc has been replaced for brand new. The group solenoids have been descaled and cleaned and they are all running perfectly. The two steam wands have been given the exact same treatment and are delivering excellent dry steam, perfect for creating foamed milk for lattes, cappuccinos etc.
You may notice that I have fitted the group head with Cafelat silicone group gaskets. These are a much better version of group gaslet, and are quite expensive too. They are made of silicone rather than the normal everyday rubber of other group gaskets and the idea behind them is that they last alot longer and do not go brittle.
Rubber gaskets if left in too long will go brittle and not seal properly, and will be an absolute nightmare to remove and change if gone hard. But these Cafelat silicone seals last for a very long time, whilst keeping there softness throughout their lifespan. The group heads both have an independantly controlled touchpad which has been set up to deliver standard espresso shots.
There is no need to change these settings, but if you decide you want to it is very easy to do. I also have no problems with supplying you with parts etc further down the line, or offering you any technical help further down the line.
The machine looks fantastic and is in excellent condition. It is a mixture of black, stainless steel and silver, colours which compliment each other wonderfully. It is also very neutral so will fit in with all decors.
It is a really modern looking piece of equipment, but most importantly it is a top quality espresso machine! The machine does have signs of prior use, mostly on the black side panels, however these are quite minimal and will only be noticed by close scrutiny.
It wouldnt be a problem to have these side panels spray painted (which is a job we can carry out for you if you wanted a colour change) however we did not feel it needed doing and so has been kept completely original. The stainless steel on the machine is in really great condition. There is slight scratches and blemishes but overall it is fantastic. It has been well looked after in its prior life, and is only 5 years old!
All the original markings on the stainless are still present so the machine is as close to original as possible. Make sure to really scrutinise the photos, although they still do not do it justice. Feel free at anytime to come through and inspect the machine yourself if you are able to do so.
It will be connected up for you to play with it too. You will not struggle to find these machines in your local high street. They are very well thought of amongst cafe owners for many reasons. They deliver great coffee, are easy to use/maintain and also parts are cheap and very accessible. Infact the main importer of these machines and their parts is based in the UK, which makes the part prices extremelly competitive.Any espresso engineer worth their salt will be familiar with these machines and so finding someone should a fault occur in years to come would not be a problem. Obviously if you are local to Doncaster then any repairs/servicing can be carried out by ourselves. A great feature with these machines is that all the exterior panels can easily be removed within minutes! This is very important for carrying out quick, efficient maintenance. Every major part on the machine can be got at straight away.
I have included some pictures of the machines internals to give you an idea of how good a condition they are in and also how easily accessible they are. It really is an excellent machine which looks the absolute business! If you are able to do so I would highly recommend coming and viewing it and trying a coffee from it!! The pictures do not do this machine enough justice, its absolutely beautiful, and most importantly it has been refurbished properly to a very high standard. We are definatly the best espresso machine refurbishers in the north of England, if not in the country!
Everything on the machine is set up ready to be connected and used. It is perfect machine for any startup or established business. There are many machines out there for you to choose from, and I understand it can be abit of a minefield, especially if you are new to the world of espresso machines.
