So the machine is 41 years old (mostly). I have replaced the pressure guage with a matching brass one made by Elektra (the original machine came with a less than attractive version). The Eagle is also a new addition as without one these machines don't look complete. Now for the original parts, starting from the top.
The dome is original and has a couple of stress cracks, but they are not serious, and you will not notice them day to day. The steam wand is slightly out of shape, but again not a serious issue. There is a scrape on the top of the sight glass and there is some loss of copper coating. Please see the photographs as these form part of the description. The base has some marking in the copper, particularly under the tray where water has sat.
But as I say this is a 40 odd year old machine and age is part of its charm. Again look at the photos and make your judgement.I haven't been concerned by these. Please take the time to understand what is involved with a lever machine, this is more involved than a Nespresso. Like a with a La Pavoni don't ever immediately after pulling a shot remove the portafilter. Unless you want coffee all over the kitchen. Finally bear in mind that this is a 40 year old machine and the clear coat is long since departed.
Keeping it shiny is a labour of love. Elektra Microcasa Leva S1 copper & Brass.
The shot glass used to demonstrate the functionality of the machine is not included and nor is the coffee, this was drunk. Please do not expect to find them in the box. The item "Elektra Micro Casa Leva Lever S1 MCAL 1980 Brass & Copper. Coffee Machine" is in sale since Sunday, October 3, 2021.
