EMI FAEMA Consul 1963 single-group vintage commercial lever espresso machine
I have had the machine for over 10 years but only restored it 2013. It's been used regularly since. EMI were a short-lived subsidiary of FAEMA. Take the EMI cabinet off, and the machine underneath is essentially a FAEMA so parts are still available. There's very little information out there on EMI.

All new wiring in silicon coated cable. Every paper gasket has been replaced with PTFE, and all Viton rubber seals and parts have been renewed. All springs including the main grouphead, tap, and sight level seal springs have been renewed.

Fitted with a modern Sirai pressurestat, LaMozocco 2-pole resettable thermal-fuse, pressure release safety valve, anti-vac valve, and led light with discrete power supply. It comes with 4 portafilters: 2 original ones from the era, one modern in the old style, and one modern bottomless.

I have also included a collection of parts from my workshop: spare 1800W element, selection of portafilter baskets, enough springs, gaskets and rubber seals to cover all eventualities, sight glass, shower screens, generic brass pipe fittings, some espresso cups, and a few other original parts. Water feed is via a 3/8 fitting and must be filtered/softened. I have enjoyed this machine over the years but now I need to let it go. Owing to the machine's weight, it's collection only from South London.
