As a base inside it's almost identical to a Gaggia classic, indeed featuring the exact same 1425W boiler so desirable in the early classic models (before manufacturing left Italy). After flushing everything through, I stripped down the boiler to remove any leftover limescale, then fitted all new seals throughout the machine (all higher grade replacements than factory). This was a few months ago and the machine has sat since.
I tried running the water in the machine through before storage, but as I started it up recently there's definitely been some limescale build up since. The last pics show the boiler inside before it went into storage a few months ago. The head was replaced with a new brass fitting and new shower screen, along with a new cafelat silicone seal. The steam wand was replaced with a new rancillo version. The pressure at the pump was set to 9 bar (this can easily be adjusted with the included gauge and turning an internal screw). Lastly I fitted a Mr Shades PID controller, and mounted the control panel on the rear for a bit of stealth. This is where the machine will need most attention, I'm not 100% sure I've got the wiring right on the steam circuit, as the wiring uses different colours to the Gaggia Classic the kit is based on. It also uses completely different switch gear so I may have tapped the wrong connection. Or it might just need programming correctly to get the desired result. The steam circuit has now been fitted with longer wiring to securely mount it in the chassis in a good sized space for it. I'd love to keep it but it's just sitting gathering dust, and my frequent visitors are happy with pods... So it may as well go to a coffee enthusiast to really appreciate it. This listing includes the machine in need of the aforementioned work. Original portafilter which has been fitted with a pressure gauge, can be removed but I don't have the spout to attach back to it. Original plastic tamper & baskets. Mr Shades PID kit extras/original wiring if you wish to return to stock. Original steam wand, a bit grubby, and new spare o rings for the improved wand. Original group head seal but as stated a new silicone replacement has already been fitted. If you've any other questions please ask, I've rambled here but I'll have forgotten something important no doubt! Please take it off my hands before I break it and sell everything individually..
