La Pavoni Europiccola Espresso Coffee Machine 1000W Lever Excellent Condition. This is a fantastic 1998 La Pavoni Europiccola with black base.

Not just a coffee maker, but a style icon too. This has been a project restoration and a sad sale as I already own another 98 Europiccola. This is a second generation unit with a 49mm portafilter. They are very easy to use and maintain but do require a good coffee grinder. Please do ask for any further pictures or details before sale too.

Picked this up in excellent condition and have serviced and upgraded a few things along the way. Should be able to just plug this in and go without worrying about descaling, changing gaskets etc. Comes with portafilter, double and single baskets, original tamper, upgraded drip tray, brass piston, original manual. Fully serviced with new group head gaskets and washers; new sight glass gaskets and washers; new lever pins and roller; new steam tap gaskets and washers, ; new boiler to element gasket.

No worries on that front here - this is ready to go. Descaled boiler and pressurestat unit.

Sealed, cleaned, and flushed ready for use. Tested (see photos) and fully working. Used this machine as a loan machine for another project so I have also fitted a brand new heating element, a brand new lever, an upgraded brass locking ring, and a brand new portafilter handle, with the old ones going to be used in another Europiccola. Chrome is in very good condition for the age (see photos). Base has some minor bubbling due to the rusting of the steel.

This is typical in these machines and the impact is small. If you would like to see close ups I can do this. The inside of the base is very clean for the age and I have treated any bare metal/minor rust spots with rust inhibitor.

I would certainly keep it if I had the space, but alas not. Will make a wonderful hobby machine and, with the new element, should give many happy years of use.
