SAGE BES980UK The Oracle Bean to Cup Coffee Machine - Silver. Comes in original Sage box/packing with instruction manual. I have owned & maintained from new, making just 4 espressos per day. Only (BWT) filtered water has been used, with the filter being changed monthly. De-scaling has been done every 6w, in line with the advice from the Sage White Glove service (by Coffee Classics ltd).

Inner shower screen & shower head gasket recently replaced, for no reason but good preventative maintenance. Some minor surface scratches to drip tray, but otherwise very presentable condition and full working order. Sage dual spout 58mm portafilter (v slight superficial damage to collar of handle - see photo).

The Sage BES980UK Oracle espresso machine bridges the gap between fully automatic and manual machines. The Oracle has an integral automatic grinder which doses into the portafilter and then tamps the coffee (tamp pressure is adjustable) The steam wand can automatically texture milk for milk drinks such as latte or cappuccino, giving great consistency to the two most difficult parts of manual espresso brewing. The user can choose to texture the milk using the manual mode on the steam wand if preferred. The Oracle has two separate stainless steel boilers, firstly a dedicated espresso boiler with PID technology to extract the espresso shot to within +/- 1°C of the selected temperature. It also has a dedicated steam boiler giving instant and continuous steam on demand.

You can extract espresso and texture milk simultaneously. Further features include programmable Americano/Long Black settings where brew water is automatically added directly to an espresso.

Pre-infusion is another adjustable feature, which gradually increases the pressure to gently expand the grinds for an even extraction. These features enable the Sage Oracle to obtain the best out of your beans, whilst providing flexibility in your input to the process.
